(2015) The Gesar Opera is the primary fundraising activity of the Sengdrug Taktsei Gesar School (Gesar School) in Golok, Tibet. This project seeks to strengthen the Gesar Opera’s financial viability so that the school may more easily achieve financial sustainability in the future.
Specifically, the purpose of this project is 1) to upgrade the production materials of the Gesar Opera and 2) to send the students of the Gesar School to attend a seven day program at the sacred Kokonor Lake so that they may receive the teaching called the Quintessential Upadesha Regarding Inner Bodhichitta and perform the Gesar Opera.
