(2009) To create an online hub for Shambhalians to communicate in a range of community forums. The new IT horizon is online community. Our new communication system will build on the strength of recently developed systems, such as Shambhala.org.
This includes a revamp of the current webby mail system as well as the creation of a community board to post notices; web forums to manage events; communication hubs for committees to network and other social networking tools to foster lateral communication within Shambhala entities and between individual members. The features and services offered by the new communication system include (1) a site for online networking and postings, (2) new capabilities for lateral communications, and (3) communication hubs for Shambhala entities, such as working groups, committees and administrators.
