On one level, the Nelson Shambhala Center is simply finishing renovations on the building that they purchased. On another level, the project seeks to be a showcase for how small centres in small towns can lead the way in buying their own buildings and becoming integral to the life of the larger community. This project is part of a longer range plan to integrate Shambhala into the civic life of the community.
