Pioneer Valley Shambhala Center

pioneer-valleyGoal: $10,000 • Funded: $5,300

(2008) The purpose is to assist in the renovation of a 3000 square foot leased space in Northampton, MA in order to expand the center’s presence in the Pioneer Valley community.

The building is in the heart of a lively community that includes Smith College and will double the space that has been previously occupied. It is an uplifting space with high ceilings and large windows with a view of the Holyoke Mountains. The Center will be easily accessible to walk-ins, handicapped, and people who use public transportation and it can easily accommodate large groups for introductory programs and for talks by visiting teachers. The space, as well as the location, will provide a great catalyst for continuing the growth of the Pioneer Valley Shambhala community and will increase the ability to present the teachings of Shambhala.
