Shambhala Online

shambhala-onlineGoal: $8,877 • Funded: $8,877

(2007) DHARMA…LIVE, INTERACTIVE, ONLINE!  To make it possible for the Sakyong, acharyas and teachers to reach students worldwide, using real-time videoconferencing technology over the internet.

This project makes it possible for Shambhala to offer real-time, interactive, dharma teachings over the Internet, using available videoconferencing technology. The Sakyong and Acharyas will be able to present teachings to (and take questions from) Shambhala centers, groups of students, and even individuals who may be geographically isolated, unable to travel, or otherwise limited in their ability to attend certain programs in person. In addition, programs can be designed specifically for this on-line application, removing geographic barriers and increasing the sense of connectedness within the Shambhala mandala.
