Snake River Correctional Institute: Meditation Intensive

snake-riverGoal: $1,568 • Funded: $1,768

(2013) Provide Shambhala Sadhana texts and director travel for a Meditation intensive at Snake River in June 2014.

The Snake River Shambhala Meditation Group meets twice a week in the chapel of the Snake River Correctional Institution. The group consists of about fifty incarcerated men and is led by Chaplain Trime Persinger. The group has continued to evolve and is ready to dive further into the Shambhala teachings with the intention of receiving transmission for the Shambhala Sadhana. As there isn’t enough money to purchase the texts or pay for the director’s airfare funds the money for these expenses was requested from the Shambhala Trust.
